AI (or 'AI art') is probably something we're gonna see more with the whole 'faceless youtube channel' trend, so buckle up. I might make more on this. But more importantly:
IF YOU WANT TO HELP
rule of thumb: when in doubt, give money, not things.
hereās what I mean: if you want to donate something, keep in mind that a lot of orgs are getting bogged down with things they donāt need ā tons of clothes when they need toiletries, or canned beans when they need blankets. One thing an org can always use is money. They know what they need best, and they can just buy it.
The next issue is who you are giving to. Verifying an organization can be hard, so if thereās one you are familiar with and trust, go with them. If you donāt know any, one very well respected org is http://calfund.org (I have no connection).
If you want to do research on a group, you can try Charity Navigator, to see if theyāre at least a recognized group, eg https://www.charitynavigator.org/ein/953510055
If you donāt have money, but you have time āĀ try hitting up somewhere to volunteer. Iāve seen some places turn people away because they have enough volunteers, but that wonāt last. This is a long disaster and people will be needed for the next year, easy. Pick a weekend or afternoon in the next week or so and commit to making that your plan for the day.
And if youāre too far away to help, just go do something nice in your own local area. Time spent helping someone is never wasted time.
IF YOU NEED HELP
here is a list of resources:

If you're a renter and having trouble with your apartment or your rights:

Lastly - PTSD is a serious issue now, and will continue to be for the next months and years. You might have had to flee, or you may be worried about the air. If you are feeling overwhelmed, people are out there who can listen and help.
You can call 988 from anywhere in the US. Give them a call, someone will pick up. You can also send a text to 741741. Keep that info in mind - if not for you, for someone else.
