For viewers (eg if you want to tell a friend to tune in),

Viewers don't have to have a Twitch account to watch!

They can just tap the link, and they'll be watching live. (They do need to have an account to write in the chat window, but that's about it).

please wear wired headphones if you have them. It helps prevent feedback from the speakers. Bluetooth / Airpods can work, but sometimes there is interference, so you may need to disconnect them if you have trouble.
if you’re on a laptop, make sure your mic volume is turned up!

on a Mac, go to System Settings → Sound and find the ‘Input’ tab, like below:

Avoid backlighting. Try not have to have a window or light behind you! This can lead to your face being shadowed and hard to see. You want a light/window shining into your face, not into the back of your head!
Usually, your phone camera is better quality than a laptop. So if you prefer, you can use your phone to call in. It will work the same as a laptop. Just make sure your phone is charged!
If you have an Ethernet cable you can plug into, please do so — it can really help the connection.
